When its RAINING… CATS & DOGS will still love YOU!
5 REASONS WHY PETS ARE GOOD FOR YOU.
1). FURRY FRIENDS PROVIDE US WITH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
Your pet doesn’t care that your hair looks bad, or that your face is breaking out. Yes, you.. having a bad hair day with a pimply face… to your pet, you are THE BEST!
That’s the great thing about our pets, they LOVE you even when the whole rest of the world seems to be against you.
2). WHEN YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO THEY WILL ALWAYS LISTEN
If you have a pet you always have someone who will listen to you and the best thing is you never have to worry that they will share your secrets.
Confide in your pet about how annoying your boss is, they will never judge you. They may close their eyes and appear to be sleeping but they are still listening.
3). PETS MAKE US HEALTHY AND ARE RELAXING
YES, pets are healthy to have around. Studies have shown that pet owners have lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. Our pets help safeguard against depression or loneliness.
There’s no doubt about it; pets are very relaxing, stroking your pet just feels good…listening to that rumbly purr machine or that deep doggy breathing is a natural dopamine-producer. So cuddle up to your pet…… close your eyes, and be at one!
4). PETS MAKE US SMILE (AND SOMETIMES, EVEN LAUGH)!
Pets do the funniest things. We share their videos on YouTube and photos on Facebook, and they are screensavers on our mobile phones.
If you haven’t noticed, pets are big on the Internet, just check out the Talking Dog on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGeKSiCQkPw
When you smile and laugh, your body releases endorphins. These are brain chemicals known as neurotransmitters, which make us feel happy. They are also a natural pain and stress reliever.
5). NEED A REASON TO PROCRASTINATE?
Our pets provide us with the perfect excuse to put off doing those boring jobs.
Does the dishwasher need to be emptied? How about that huge pile of laundry that needs washing. You’ll get around to these things eventually.
But if you have a pet, you don’t need to do them right away.
I mean, look at your cat…laying on your bed, so comfy and sweet, maybe just lay down with him for a little while.
Perhaps take the dog for a quick walk to the park, you’d never know who you might meet? Ahhhh…..the perfect excuse!
The dishwasher can wait, are the clothes really that dirty?
There’s always tomorrow. So you see? With a pet around, you always have a good reason to procrastinate!
