We’re always looking for new ways to improve the site.

To do this we regularly review our customers feedback. One of the things that stood out to us was that people would like to know a bit more about the location of the seller. However, they don’t particularly want to give out their full address details.

We’ve had our techie guys hard at it since then to come up with a selection of locations in each of the 32 counties in Ireland.

We hope this will help give people an idea of where an advertiser is located before they make the call. This will be particularly helpful in bigger counties like Cork Tipp, etc. Leave a comment below to let us know what you think.

Here at DoneDeal we’re always trying to use the latest technology to make our DoneDealers lives easier!

Which is why we’re pleased to announce our new voice recognition feature. It’s a work in progress at the moment but we’re so excited about it we decided to give you all a sneak peek!

We’ve added two voice commands to the search page, ‘next’ and ‘previous’.

To use the new voice commands, lean forward towards the computer screen and say either ‘next‘ to go the next page of search results or ‘previous‘ to go back a page.

 

Update: We’ve had a few reports from DoneDealers that voice commands aren’t always being recognised.  Our techies think this is because the voice recognition software we’re using was developed in Germany and it’s having trouble understanding some of our Irish accents.

We will work on a fix for this before voice commands go live properly, but for now if you’re having trouble getting voice commands to work please try saying the commands in a German accent.

We have been looking over some of your feedback and when it comes to Cars, one of the main things you wanted was to be able to search by Engine Size. At last, its here!!!!

You can now type in the Engine size, in either litres (1.3) or cc’s (1300) and you will be able to find all the cars with the engine size in your chosen range.

We’re delighted, Meteor have finally come on board to allow DoneDealers to pay for their ads with their Meteor Mobiles!  Hip Hip Hooray!

It’s simple, if you’ve got a Meteor Mobile all you have to do is select Meteor as the payment option when you’re placing your ad.

Happy days! It’s now even easier for you to make a few extra quid selling on DoneDeal.

We got loads of really great feedback from our DoneDealers after the introduction of our Christmas Shop. Turns out a lot of you never knew we had so many great family sections on DoneDeal!

We took that feedback on board and have been busy with our designers to try and remedy that problem. We hope you like what we’ve done. We’ve re-arranged our icons and changed them up slightly. We are still working on the introduction of a brand new section, watch out here for updates soon! 

We also learned that while people could find the main section “Clothes & Lifestyle” they never knew there was so many sub sections behind them. So now we’ve now opened out our “Clothes & Lifestyle” and “House & DIY” sections so you might find it easier to navigate the site when browsing for bargins for the family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, we learned that you found it really annoying that when someone removes an ad on the site, that you couldn’t identify this in your saved ads until you clicked to view the ad details..so we’ve come up with a new design here too!
