December is charity month here at DoneDeal and this month is in aid of The Irish Heart Foundation.  For each ad placed on the site we give 30 cent to the Foundation to assist in the raising of much needed funds.

Heart disease is Ireland’s No. 1 killer and The Irish Heart Foundation is the national charity fighting stroke and heart disease, over 90% funded by public and corporate donations.  They provide information on heart health, support patients who are managing heart disease and stroke, provide heart health programmes in schools and workplaces, and support research, education and development in the medical profession to improve the patient treatment and services available in Ireland.  Worried about heart or stroke problems?  Call the national helpline on 1890 432 787.

They are working very hard and we couldn’t even begin to list what they are striving to achieve but hopefully, with your help, the DoneDealers will be able to help them out.  Also, if you’re feeling very energetic, you could always take part in their Santa Dash on December 11^th which looks like great fun.

The ISPCA have launched their Hay Drive to help malnurished Horses this winter.  For just €3 you can donate a bail of hay to help the ISPCA fill their haybarn and help these deserving creatures.

We wanted tohelp the ISPCA raise as much awareness as possible for this campaign, so we’ve donated banner ads on our site to help them do this.  DoneDealers can click through from the banner ads to the ISPCA website and see how they can donate.

For the month of October DoneDeal donated 30 cent for each ad placed on our site to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. The total that we will be donating on your behalf, amounted to an amazing €26,603.70! 

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is Ireland’s most common genetically inherited disease, that primarily affects the lungs and the digestive system. Ireland has the highest incidence of Cystic Fibrosis in the world with almost 7 in every 10,000 people with the disease.

The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland is a voluntary organisation that was setup by parents to improve the treatment and facilities for people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland.

Thanks to everyone that placed ads during Cystic Fibrosis Month, allowing us to give such a large amount on your behalf!
