We’ve another new addition to our DoneDeal family, and this time it’s for our front end developer position.
We’re delighted to welcome Barry on board to help our Kevin make DoneDeal look good!
Barry was born and raised in Wexford. He lived in Waterford for four years while in college where he met his wife and they now have two beautiful daughters to keep them busy!
Barry’s another big sports fan and he’s a devoted fan of Liverpool in football, Leinster in rugby and Wexford GAA. He’s also a bit of a PC gamer with a love for history.

Barry any chance you could put a short training manual on donedeal homepage so that people know how to actually sell items on this site or at least teach them to f**king remove items which are sold, quite annoying when your browsing items for sale that have sold sold sold on them ,ffs take them down.

this is very fustrating im seen all the same sold cars everyday
a solution to this problem could be employing myself and other fustrated person of this post to do the job of removing anything that is marked as sold before the time line of the item expires

We introduced our fair pricing system at the start of last month and it’s the first time we’ve changed our prices in 6 years.
We have 154 sections and we reduced 87 of them to only €1, 58 sections remain at the normal €3 and 9 sections were increased to €5. You can see a full list of our new fees here:

However we also introduced a new text payment option for those 9 sections to ensure that there are no phone services charges added by your mobile phone provider or landline. If paying by text does not suit you, you could also using a credit or laser card, a PayPal account, or a 3v card:

We’re sorry to hear that you’re not happy with our decision. We still feel that our site is good value as we have over 2 million people visiting our site every month, which would be what gives us the extra over other sites and why people sell their stuff so much quicker with us. We also plan on using the revenue to keep out site updated with the latest tools to ensure we remain top of our game, making selling your stuff even easier.
However, if you don’t feel our site suits your needs any longer, we wish you the very best of luck with your future advertising, where ever that may be. Should you ever wish to return to our site, we’ll be happy to welcome you back.

hi barry. i use donedeal a lot and would like to make a sugestion , can you put “recent ads” on top and “main sections” on the bottom and also give us a convenient keyboard shortcut other than ctrl and r to go back to the home page. many thanks and best of luck.

I remember when donedeal was in its infancy & was purely a selling tool for Wexford people (more or less) What about a Wexford incentive of a reduced add rate? Just a thought.
