The students of County Wexford have had a busy couple of months creating functioning businesses of their own as part of the X-cel enterprise programme.   DoneDeal was delighted to have the opportunity to be one of the sponsors of this worthwhile event.

Students in schools all over Wexford were asked to develop and run their own business for this programme and take part in a “Dragon’s Den” type selection panal to choose the finalists.  The programme was open to students of all ages in second level schools around the county.  The quality of the work these young entrepreneurs displayed was really a sight to see and there certainly was a positive feel for the future of business in Wexford.

Congratulations for the Senior Section winners  ‘CLAAS” (Presentation Secondary School) and the Junior & Intermediate winners “Precious Memories” and “Cards to make a Difference” (Both from Enniscorthy Vocational College) who went on to represent the county in the in the City & County Enterprise Board’s National Student Enterprise Competition which was held in Croke Park last Tuesday.  Unfortunately they were unlucky but represented their schools and county with pride.

In February DoneDeal hit a bit of a milestone, 1 Million unique visitors to our site in one month.  That’s like owning a shop and having 1 million people walk through the door of your shop in one month.  It’s a fairly big achievement and we are DELIGHTED!

So to celebrate, the DoneDeal team took a day away from the office and went to the beautiful Carton House Hotel in Kildare for a day of Xtreme off road driving and clay pigeon shooting, followed by a few drinks of course!

The techie heads here at DoneDeal have been working very hard lately on developing a new Advanced Search for you DoneDealers.  The first stage of this has now been launched on our site thanks to Declan and Chris!  You can now search all our sections by Price-Range, very useful for the bargain hunter!

This is only the starting point for the advanced search feature and you will see new sections to this feature come on-line very quickly as we work the boys to the bone!
