DoneDeal Denim Day Winner

DoneDeal Denim Day Winner

Friday is the official Denim Day. However, a good few of us are not in the office on Friday, so we decided to have the DoneDeal Denim Day today instead.

The prize for the best denim combo was a voucher for Amazon.

There was no hesitation who deserved the prize. Emer had rooted through the forgotten areas of her closets to find anything denim.

Look at her impressing denim collection: denim trousers (with matching flares), denim vest, denim jacket, even a matching denim bag. She also brought in a little matching doll, dressed all in denims of course.

Trophy

Trophy

Yahoo, just got news that Geraldine won an award at the South East Female Excellence in Business Awards (now, that is a long name for an award). She won the ICT Entrepreneur category.

The award was presented at the Women in Business conference in Carlow this evening.

Well done, Gerry-Berry! When you get back to the office we all have to drink bubbly wine from your new trophy.

Or you might be a bit tired tomorrow after celebrating all night?

Cois Fharraige ‘09

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

It’s official, I’m exhausted after a weekend of sun, sand and superb music!  The Cois Fharraige festival in Kilkee in Co. Clare is just a hidden treasure in the Irish festival calender. Niall Breslin and me! The entire town takes on the festival spirit and welcomes visitors of all ages with open arms. The fact the I got to meet Niall Breslin (the lead singer of the Blizzards), just crowned the weekend for me.

Apart from the bands like The Blizzards, The Zuttons and The Saw Doctors who rocked out the huge tent every night, the town hosts lots of local bands playing in beer gardens every where you look.  Dancing in the street is a definately a must! And being in the west, the seafood must be sampled, it’s nothing short of amazing.

I have to say a huge thank you to Kevin and the boys from Ideal Campsite.  The name describes the campsite perfectly, 2 minutes walk from every where you want to go in the festival, excellent shower facilities, car parking and just the best laugh you could ever want.  Book my place for next year boys, I just couldn’t ask for better!

Baby Declan

Baby Declan

Have a good look at baby Declan.  Isn’t he cute.  Tried and tried for six months and nearly grew a beard. Mammy combed his hair.  Passed his test and got his full licence 9 years ago and turned into a mad man.  Drives like Michael Schumacher from Waterford to Wexford every day.  Thinks he’s in Monte Carlo going through New Ross.  I think he should re-sit his test while we all sit in the back seat!  Remember Declan, mirror, indicate, move out slowly!
