As usual, we’ve been working away in the background on cool ideas to make DoneDealing even safer. We’ve heard that some of our customers having been receiving some “dubious” text messages trying to get them to email people with more details. So we started working on a plan!

First of all, we encourage all our DoneDealers to take advantage of our safemail system when you want to corresponded via email. For safety reasons, you should really never give out your email address.

Secondly, we’ve just created a cool new feature will help protect your number from this type of activity. Browsers interested in your item will now have part of your number displayed and with one simple click will reveal the full telephone number to get in touch with you.

We’ve more plans in the pipeline so watch this space!

We say it all the time, but we are always looking at ways to improve DoneDeal & what better way than to review customer feedback. We try to update the site from this feedback as regularly as possible.

This month we’ve been working on helping you access ads that you may not have successfully completed for one reason or another.

From today, any ad that you place but don’t continue on to pay for will be held in your Pending Ads. They will be available via “My DoneDeal” when you log in. This will bring you directly to the Edit Ad process so you can make any final tweaks and complete the payment to publish the ad.

We were blown away with all the amazing entries we received for this years Kid’s Draw Competition.

We had 366 entries, so the only way we could choose a winner was by hanging each and every entry on the walls of our office and voting for our favourite.

This took some time as you could image as all the entries were honestly just so good! But of course there can only be one winner and this year the winner is:

Ana Bates, aged 12 from Kilmore in Wexford.

Ana’s design got the most votes so is this years Winning Birthday Logo, appearing on our site, blog, newsletter, facebook page as well as our birthday card!
